Khunu Lama Rinpoche
Khunu Lama Rinpoche Tenzin Gyaltsen (1894-1977) was born in the Khunu region of the Indo-Tibetan borderlands in 1894. He was revered by Tibetan Buddhists of all traditions because his life embodied the spiritual practice of compassion and he travelled widely, teaching throughout Tibet and India. His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama was among his many students.
Khunu Lama Rinpoche's most famous written work was Vast as the Heavens, Deep as the Sea: Verses in Praise of Bodhicitta (Wisdom Publications, 1999).
